¿Por qué corres?

El otro día, un buen amigo mío me preguntó por qué corría. Me limité a contestar que me hacía sentir bien, que me gustaba estar un rato conmigo a solas y que me ayudaba a ordenar mis pensamientos. Básicamente lo describí como una necesidad, aunque como tampoco soy Murakami, no sé si utilicé las palabras que realmente definen mis sentimientos. Sólo sé, como decía una antigua campaña de Nike, que sufro más cuando no corro, o simplemente cuando no encuentro ese hueco para encontrarme conmigo mismo, ya sea con la bici, con mi perro o con amigos en la montaña.
Kilian Journet dijo el año pasado que el corría detrás de la felicidad, que la vida es para ser feliz. Para algunos entre los que me incluyo, la felicidad es estar en contacto con la naturaleza, con la montaña, y haciendo deporte. Por eso corro.
